Trade Revision Notification Tool
Python · Windows desktop
Automates counterparty notification after a mortgage trade revision. Groups the breaks by counterparty and raises one Outlook draft each across two phases — brokers first with the figures alone, then banks once a broker confirms, each carrying the original trade ticket stamped with its settlement instruction. Encodes the per-counterparty exceptions, from banks that set up their own SPOs and need no ticket to one that requires a supplement form with every ticket sent. Every message is raised as a draft for review; nothing is sent automatically. Built and tested, and going into production with a project manager at TCW.
Account Instructions in SQL
SQL · DTCC ALERT
Account instructions lived in a spreadsheet that had to be filtered by hand every time someone needed a wire. Moved them into SQL and added a report to the firm’s existing reporting portal, so the mutual funds desk could enter an account number and get the right instructions back. A loader then pulled 3000+ instructions from a DTCC ALERT file export on demand to keep the table current. Putting the data in SQL also opened it to other teams’ reporting tools, which the spreadsheet never could.
Tradeweb RoundRobin Audit
Excel
Reconciles three internal reports against one another to catch trade pairing errors in Tradeweb RoundRobin processing before they reach settlement. Took settlement processing to 100% accuracy.
When-Issued Price Reconciliation
Excel · Bloomberg API
When-issued trades are agreed on yield, so the final price is not known until the auction sets it. The tool pulls auction results through the Bloomberg API, reconciles them against the open trades, works out which prices need revising, runs the calculations and hands the trading desk a summary to review. Replaced a check that had been fully manual.
SeaThrough
iOS · web
An iOS app that forecasts underwater visibility for divers. Drop a pin near shore and it pulls live buoy readings, tide predictions and marine forecasts from NOAA and Open-Meteo, then runs them through a clarity model — wave energy weighted by swell period, carried forward with a lag so yesterday’s swell still counts against today, plus penalties for onshore wind and an adjustment for the tide — to return a ten-day hourly forecast. Swift and SwiftUI over Google Maps on iOS, and a web app at SeaThrough.app. Designed, built and shipped independently. The model is a heuristic today; a Raspberry Pi camera rig is collecting in-water ground truth to replace it with a trained one.
